Stories of the Stars @ Staunton River State Park

Come join the storytellers from CHAOS (Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society) on the Observation Field to share the stories of the stars. Hear about constellations, planets, astrophotography and the distance from the stars to the Earth. Stop by the visitor center for a red light "filter" for your flashlight or phone; this reduces the impact of white light on your night vision on the field.
