Microsoft and the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center have partnered to develop a unique IT training experience that provides students with real-world hands on experience with state-of-the-art Cloud Computing hardware. In addition, students earn industry-recognized certifications including CompTIA’s A+, Server+, Network+ and Security+. In recent years Microsoft has developed a work experience program that allows top graduating students to work for 3 months in a Microsoft Production Datacenter. At times these work experiences have resulted in candidates being offered full-time employment at the conclusion of the program.
We care about our students success and the businesses in our community. We’d like to expand the work experience program to include other local businesses like yours. We invite you to meet with Microsoft and SVHEC staff to learn how you can benefit from this outstanding program. Mr. Anthony Putorek, Senior Lead Workforce Development Program Manager, from Microsoft will discuss how the program works, how Microsoft has benefited and how you might structure a similar program in your organization or business.
